In electrical engineering related to Petro-Chemical plants, a hazardous area exists when a mixture of air, gases, vapours, mist, or dusts combines in a way that can ignite under certain operating conditions.
Allenwest manufactures and supports electrical equipment for such hazardous areas. Our range of ATEX equipment is tested and certified according to the relevant ATEX criteria for Zones 1, 2, 21, and/or 22 Group II Gases. The applicable ATEX standards also align with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IECEx) standard for international certification requirements.
